I must say, I had the best hunting season of my life this past year and I didn't even go to Alberta....wow!

I don't know where to start with posting some pics and stories. I think I will rewind from the most recent hunts (near the end) and work my way back. That may be the only way I can rememer them all! LOL!!!

I have some pics from hunts this year that I'd like to share with eveyone. Some from hunts with folks that booked with us and some from hunts with my son and friends. They all contributed to one of my most memorable, if not the most memorable year ever. I will have to flip through the folder on my pc and tell some stories of hunts after I view the downloaded pics.

Here's one to start....

15 Jan, 2010 -
flatnote, his wife, Sam, Me and Mitch set up a field rig on one of our farms in Dorchester county, MD.
We had some early action that put nearly 500-600 birds overtop us at one time. Anyone who's been with me, knows I won't shoot into those kinds of groups.
After some singles and pairs we had a few down. Mitch and Lisa had each killed at least one, and I believe Mitch had actually shot his limit. He unloaded his gun, claiming 'i'm done'. Okay big boy, I believe you are. after all, geese came in, he shot and geese fell down. other than Lisa, no one else shot so he was on target this day.
Just when a lul in the action seemed like it wouldn't end, here comes 5 big geese from the river and not 3' off the ground. Flag waving, calls singing and they were diggin it! At one point they wanted to hit the outer edge of the rig and I picked up the intensity of the call and lured them closer. they came out back and crossed the spread about 15 yards behind us right to left and not 3' off the ground. Sam, flatnote and I rose and not one goose got out. It was a pretty sight for sure!
These geese were large too! I mean bigguns!

Attached are a few pics from a very memorable hunt! Enjoy!
Skip.
